Chair Introduction

Abstract Description

Evidence increasingly supports the use of Individual Placement and Support for vocational recovery in first episode psychosis. This evidence base has also expanded into other areas of mental ill health. While the evidence for IPS continues to be gathered, increasingly attention is being given to the implementation of IPS in real world settings. Implementation requires an understanding of the interaction of interventions such as IPS with policy and economic environments as well how existing health, labour and welfare systems adjust to successfully accommodate a new intervention. This symposium will consist of four presentations that will illustrate these different areas of research, interaction with policy and implementation.
